H&F Local Supply Chain Project is the continuation of a successful business support project in Hammersmith & Fulham aimed at SMEs in the construction related and property maintenance sectors. It aims to help local businesses to benefit as much as possible from investment going into the borough from property developments, as well as procurement by the Council and its framework contractors. The Council has appointed MTW Consultants Ltd to deliver this service on their behalf.
Help for local SMEs with tendering, accreditation, marketing and a pipeline of opportunities from buyers who are committed to procuring more locally.
Help for Main Contractors, Property owners and Council 1st Tier Contractors working on local sites to find good local subcontractors and suppliers and meet their local procurement commitments.
In this way it is hoped to retain a greater share of the investment in the local economy, driving local business growth and jobs.
Workshops: An event usually attended by a buyer which will give you the advice and support you need to win work in both the commercial and public sectors. These workshops will focus on contract opportunities, how to win tenders, minimum health & safety accreditation requirements, marketing strategy, and environmental accreditation.
Meet the Buyer/Supplier: An event at which businesses have one-to-one meetings with buyers who are looking for your trade or service. You could meet 3-5 potential clients with live opportunities and expect tender enquiries soon afterwards.
One to one advice: Advice on opportunities and market positioning, health and safety or environmental accreditation, opportunity brokerage
To win commercial and public sector contracts, you will almost certainly need to have the basic health & safety accreditation such as CHAS or Constructionline before they will consider you. We can also help you with ISO9001, ISO18001 or ISO14001 which will further impress buyers and give you better systems to run your business.
“I found this event very useful, not only through meeting the LBHF team but meeting other businesses within the area. From the initial meeting I am hopeful that our company will have chance to tender. I would be interested in attending any future meeting you may have with other buyers.” Avni Bici, Director of A&J Joinery Services Ltd
“Personally I found this event/meeting very productive with interest shown positively geared towards who we are, what we do, how we aim to further the business with added service solutions (eg. fire doors installation) and where we can add benefit to LBHF Housing (Residential/Commercial) and Property Services(M&E/Corporate/Commercial).
Big thanks to MTW for creating such opportunities and supporting local businesses.” Wayne Gerber, Director of Exceed Fire Protection Ltd
"I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the very informative event I attended today. It has really given me the pointers that I was seeking with regards to accreditation for my company." Juan Moposita, Owner of J.Moposita Ltd
