Case Studies
Pigmento Painting & Decorating Ltd
Pigmento was started in back in 2009 by Lorenz Paterau and for many years worked with a small team carrying out external and internal decorating jobs for residents and estate agents as well as schools, offices and shops. Their turnover was around £400,000. They joined the Hammersmith & Fulham Supply Chain programme in 2018 attending workshops and Meet the Buyer events.
In early 2019 we introduced them to the repair and maintenance manager at Romulus, a major Hammersmith & Fulham property group owning some 70 properties in the borough. Subsequently they were taken on by Romulus to carry out some minor painting and decorating works of common parts in two of their buildings…
The Bike Storage Company Ltd
The Bike Storage Company was founded in 2014 by two individuals (keen cyclists) offering turnkey solutions for bike storage, both outdoors and indoors, on major developments. Their main office is in Hammersmith & Fulham and the fabrication is done outside London.
They are often specified by designers and architects and are commissioned either directly by main contractors or through sub-contractors such as architectural metalwork and carpentry companies…
H&F cladding company on our programme, Ellyon Ltd, who was introduced to the Skills Centre at one of our workshops.
A fantastic email received recently to share with you all:
“Good Morning David,
After attending the Green skills Workshop in February I was contacted by Vlad of Ellyon with regards to working together with his cladding company. We met and further discussed and on my last Cladding bootcamp he took my cohort of learners for 2 x 2 hour sessions on his site in Homerton Rd Hackney.
Three of the learners then were invited back for 2 weeks work placement and all offered jobs. One of them has taken the opportunity and started work with them on Monday of this week ( 23rd June ). Vlad has advanced him money to buy tools so he is ready to go .
This is a perfect example of what we are all trying to achieve. I will continue to work with Vlad going forward and hopefully we will find many more learners jobs that will change their lives.”
Many thanks
JOHN FENTON, Centre Director, The Skills Centre London Ltd
