This quarter has seen a welcome number of tender enquiries and successful tenders coming out of the buyer engagement in the first quarter. Six contracts were placed with local SMEs and 18 further tender enquiries/invitations sent out.
St George decided to split out the Façade window cleaning from the Builders clean on the final phase of Chelsea Creek and invited window cleaning and abseiling experts Gaze A Glaze Ltd to tender.
United Living went out to 10 of our smaller builders and has appointed VG Building Services to carry out a number of void refurbishments following some intensive one-to-one support by our team to get them through the pre appointment vetting process. Tony Stewart from our team was brought in to completely overhaul and update/instal much of the company’s paperwork and systems working closely with the principals. Finally a complete set of paperwork was submitted and VG was informed that their submission now met United Living’s supply chain expectation and standards. They have immediately been issued work on void refurbishment.
Harrington Porter Landscaping has been awarded a contract by CarmelCrest for soft landscaping at the Nourish Hub in the White City.
Ardmore Group has sent a tender to Cue Group Ltd for the door sets at the Town Hall and has also sent an enquiry to Big Ferro Ltd for architectural metalwork.
Graham & Co. which is working on a new building for Imperial College has appointed Powerday to provide skips and has invited John Boret Surveyors to quote for a Dilapidations report.
McLarens has circulated our list of local trade suppliers to their Tier 1 subcontractors. Orders have since been placed with Reed Harris a local tiling supplier to supply the tiles for the hotel by their tiling company. Orders have also been placed by their groundwork contractor with AJ Ferguson, timber suppliers, and by their Hoarding contractor with Hitchcock & King, builders merchants.
