This quarter has seen 8 new SMEs recruited and 3 new buyers. There was a Meet the Buyer event held in June with 8 buyers and 25 SMEs participating. There were 8 tenders sent out, 6 contracts were awarded (including 3 suppliers appointed) worth £2.69m. One to One support has been provided to 3 companies. Two companies are working with us to achieve Health & Safety accreditation.
Tender wins and Trade accounts opened
- The Bike Storage Company Ltd has won another order, this time from Ardmore on the West King Street/Town Hall development worth £150,000.
- Hitchcock & King have been awarded a Call Off order by Higgins on the Hartopp & Lannoy development. (Spend to be monitored) following the Meet the Buyer event
- Powerday has been awarded a skip hire contract on the Olympia development by Laing O’Rourke’s Waste sub-contractor, following pressure from us and Laings, worth an estimated £2.33m.
- THRC Construction Ltd and Hitchcock & King have both been put on the supplier system for future work by White City Living Estate Manager for repairs etc and builders merchants respectively, following their meetings at the Meet the Buyer event.
- Powerday was awarded the skip hire contract for Higgins on the Hartopp & Lannoy Point development, following intervention by MTW, worth £180,000.
